Three Reports May 2010
- I have been assigned the lead role in designing and planning a
strategic meeting that will take place in Orlando, Florida in 2011. It
will bring together several hundred from the cities and networks of the
Mission America Coalition (of which I am COO) and 400+ (700 are on the
waiting list - that's how significant this event is!) Cape Town 2010
participants in October. The potential for accelerating the Church's
radical obedience to the Great Commission is obvious!
- I have also been asked to help plan the first and last day of that
Cape Town conference, at which times the United States delegation will
meet (as will the other nations represented). Establishing a common
purpose and igniting a passion that will propel our ministries
throughout this decade are essential.
- What was for over ten years Pray! magazine, is now Pray! Network
online and I have been asked to moderate and facilitate this new
social/ministry community. Since it was launched in April, membership
(free) has grown to almost 1800 members, with new additions every day.
Three Requests
- Would you join Carol and me in thanking God for these opportunities?
There is so much to petition, even plead, with him for that I do not
want to forget prayers for opportunity that he is answering right under
our nose! Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good and his mercies endure
forever!
- I am privileged to serve on (and lead a few) Lead Teams and Design
(planning) Teams and need the constant re-filling of the Holy Spirit as
my guide and the mind of Christ for our decisions so that we accomplish
full the will of the Father. Wisdom. Leadership / Servant's heart.
Courageous faith. Huge impact ...
- Our gracious God continues to provide funding through the IBSA
Prayer Ministries role (now in my tenth year) and more recently through
Pray! Network. Both stipends are appreciated but provide only a small
portion of our ministry expenses and personal needs. Please pray
especially for those who are called upon by the Lord to give but,
because finances are tight, are held back by concerns.
Through your partnership with us, God continues to provide open doors and
has never failed to meet our needs - We are grateful we can share them with
you,
Phil & Carol
