Orlando, Orlando, Orlando,
... was about the only thing people heard from me the past three months.
The talking-praying-anticipating began about one year ago but the
planning hit high gear after the first of this year (we waited until we
experienced Cape Town 2010 in the fall, then were slowed down by
Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year holidays).
With thanks to a team comprised of now over-worked staff members from
several ministry organizations (Billy Graham Center @ Wheaton College,
Campus Crusade for Christ, National Association of Evangelicals,
Wycliffe Bible Translators, Vision 360) and leaders from several key
congregations (such as Park Street Church in Boston), Orlando 2011 was a
huge success:
- 700+ participants, including over 70 intercessors who labored in
love in the Prayer Room throughout the meetings
- Seated at 110 Tables (the room should not have fit that many;
thank the Lord the Fire Marshall had other business to attend to in
Orlando that week!)
- Scattering to 28 different Affinity Consultations (you can join
one or more of them @
www.ServingBetterTogether.com)
- In 3 venues (Vision 360 = church planting; Campus Crusade =
evangelism; Wycliffe = missions) that model the heart of the Orlando
2011 meeting
- All with one purpose: to see the whole Church take the whole
Gospel to the Whole world!
Some of the videos are online and I anticipate more to follow. I
often announce information like this or post links to new resources
from my Twitter account (@philnppn).
Though the Orlando meetings have concluded, the work of stewarding what
God gave us is just beginning. Your prayers and support make it possible
for me to continue serving the leaders of the Church as they move
forward,
