*IMPACT PRAYER MINISTRIES: 1 YEAR OLD

>From: “Impact Prayer Ministries” <impactprayermin1@hotmail.com>

Impact Prayer Ministries is one year old this past month. One year ago In July the Lord Spoke to me ... I was in Helsinki Finland as a Missionary.  It was in a Service at a little church called the Lighthouse. A woman in the Praise and worship team spoke ... that Jesus said “I am going to use you to Pray for Many People.” I was tired because I had walked along way that day.  I thought at the moment it must be for someone behind me, because she looked straight at me. I had no idea the Impact of that simple  Statement. What changes it would bring to my life. Soon after it seemed I had all kinds of opportunities to pray for people. As  I prayed I felt such compassion and love for the people there in Finland. Which was my fathers homeland. Soon after I was asked to start a Cyber Prayer Network there in Finland. Never having done this before I had to rely totally on the Holy Spirit for guidance..It has been a great learning experience with  God’s Holy Spirit as teacher.

Today with The Lord Adding daily we are now in almost every country in the World. Within a few short minutes, we can circle the Globe With your Prayer Requests and the Word of God concerning Major Prayer Issues ...  Impacting Our world through Simple Prayer. Praise God!

A new Concept here at Impact Prayer Ministries is emerging. As the Lord Jesus continues to Divinely network our Worlds Prayer Chains.

Currently we have Fifty Prayer Networks registered with Ministry one.

*VIET NAM: PRAY FOR THOSE PLANTING 10,000 NEW CHURCHES

>From: Assistcomm@cs.com

>By Dan Wooding

The Underground Church in Vietnam is planning to plant some 10,000 new churches in the next five years.

This news has been revealed by Brother Joseph Lee, founder of Tribes and Nations Outreach (TNO) based in Manila, Philippines, who has recently returned from a ministry trip to Cambodia and Vietnam.

He said that the Underground Church in Vietnam is composed of 21 major groups, and their leaders have requested TNO to print 20,000 sets of School of Workers books in Vietnamese at $3/set.

“The leaders also have the vision of establishing witness churches in the 24

remaining unreached people groups (UPG), situated mostly in North Vietnam

where the Holy Spirit is starting to move in a mighty way will be given

attention. Expat organizations and local leaders have partnered with TNO and

we will start to reach six tribes initially,” he said.

Brother Lee said that in 1990, TNO conducted special training for Vietnam Underground Church leaders called Operation 300.  “Among those we trained are a few are now ready to go side by side with TNO to give training to the neighboring countries,” he went on. “This is a clear proof that the Vietnamese church has risen to the challenge of the Great Commission.”

Brother Lee added, “What I see is the increasing move of the Holy Spirit in Asia. This development, together with other major developments around the world points to the second coming of the Lord. Our hearts are rejoicing!”

*AFRICA: WANTING INFORMATION ON CITY TRANSFORMATION

>From: “Emmanuel Z Kopwe” <kopweez@hotmail.com>

    Dear Friends

Thank you so much for the update on this ministry on City leadership and transformation strategies.

I work with a Christian organisation which reaches the cities of Africa. And

believe me there is no place under the sun which needs effective

transformation as we encounter in Africa. Obviously many of you are very

experienced and have hands on the ministry. I plead with you to please help

supply us with as much information as you can lay hands on. My belief is the

church is key in this. and definitely the tool God wants to use.

May I wish you every blessing in all your work.

Warmly, Emmanuel Kopwe

*NEW ZEALAND: SATURATION PRAYER

>From: michael.knott@attglobal.net

I am writing to you from Guatemala, where I am attending the Global Congress.

One of the most effective means of bringing pastors together seems to be the prayer summit, which seems to break down barriers and creates an environment for closer fellowship.  Some cities are further on than others, but almost every city is on a journey towards praying and labouring together for our cities and our nation.

The most exciting development this year has been the development of saturation prayer for the nation. Each region has a coordinator to roster the willing churches in their region to cover entire days with their pray-ers.  So far we have 6 of the ten regions with total cover, and the others are well on the way.  A central administration keeps everyone updated on prayer needs in government etc and receives information from the regions for national prayer.  It’s great to know that at any time, day or night, the nation is covered in prayer.

Blessings, Mike Knott

*INDIA: http://www.standinginthegap.com

>From: Jacob John <jacskj@yahoo.com>

I am Jacob John, from Grace Ministries, India, which is a church planting ministry reaching thousands of unreached villages in South Asia with the first Gospel witnesses through full time missionaries in pioneer mission fields, personal evangelism, film ministry, literature, prison ministry and crusades. We are also reaching the poorest of the poor through running orphan homes, rescuing young children from the clutches of child abuse and child labor and helping the aged and widowed.

85 missionaries are today planting churches, 122

children are cared for in 2 orphanages. 127 churches

have already been planted among the 52 of the most

unreached people groups. 1234 cell groups are running

in these very regions

Grace Ministries is working in some of the most persecuted regions in the world today. Just during the past 12 months, 123 incidents of persecution took place. These are the some of the most hotly contested regions where the battle for souls of men and women is raging.  But praise God that in the name of Jesus, there is victory. “Remember the prisoners as if chained with them  (Hebrews 13:3)...

In the love of Jesus Christ you are humbly invited to be a part of this great move of God through prayer, resources, helping an orphaned child, helping send a missionary by supporting. Meeting the desperate needs or by coming into the mission fields—in anyway you can. No effort is too small. It can make a big difference.

Together we can take the Gospel to the uttermost regions of the world. Let’s work and finish the task before the night comes when no one can work.

In His love, His grip and His grace,

Ps. Jacob John, Grace Ministries

*THE INTER-WHAT?

>From: Gospel Communications Network (http://www.gospelcom.net/)

If you’re like most Internet users, you probably find it hard to even remember what life was like before email and the World Wide Web.  But while in some parts of the world the Internet has become a staple of communication and entertainment, most of the world’s population has no access to the Internet or related technologies.  A recent Wired News article takes a look at new strategies for bringing the Internet to “offline” cultures by adapting it to specific local needs—using appropriate technology where it can make a difference in local life, not simply for its own sake.  It’s an issue that Christian outreach organizations and Web sites with an international focus must struggle with—finding the best way to use technology to cross cultural and social lines with the Gospel message.

*ISRAEL: ARAB & JEWISH CHRISTIANS PRAY TOGETHER

>From: USPRAYERTRACK@cs.com

Arab and Jewish Christians in Israel are praying together as violence in the Holy Land threatens to destroy peace efforts.  A Palestinian Christian and an American-born Messianic Jew, both living in Jerusalem, spoke to Religion Today about the situation.

Christians from Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, and Syria met with Messianic Jews and other Christians from Israel and around the world in Jerusalem Oct. 1-10. About 1,200 Christians from 150 nations came to pray and tell what God is doing in their countries. Violence broke out three days before the convocation began. “As fighting escalated, convocation leaders set aside their prepared program to worship God and pray,” messianic leader Barry Segal said. “Because of the heavy spiritual tension and the violence, we took one night to just praise God and dispel the darkness.”

Arab and Christian leaders discussed their differences. “There was a time for Arabs to share and for Jews to share,” Segal said.

At the end he and a Palestinian pastor read from Romans 8:35:

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?” The evening “was a tremendous move forward in terms of reconciliation and prayer for each other - to see the fulfillment of God’s purposes for both communities,” Segal said.

Meanwhile, in the Sinai desert, Palestinian, Jewish, and Western Christians were praising God together at a celebration held by a Palestinian ministry. Twenty-two supporters of Musalaha, a ministry of reconciliation between Jewish and Arab Christians, spent three days at Mount Sinai “singing and listening to God - asking Him what He is calling us to do,” Salim Munayer, a Palestinian Christian, said. “We prayed for hours in the desert, asking God for mercy. We knew the situation was bad but we continued on to show that there is another way to deal with this,” Munayer said.

Palestinian and Messianic Jewish congregations formed a “ring of prayer” around Jerusalem, Segal said. Twelve ministries pray daily and worship God in two-hour shifts to keep a 24-hour “prayer watch” over the city, he said. There are about 5,000 Messianic Jews in 70 congregations and 3,000 “born-again” Palestinians in 40 churches in Israel and the West Bank territories, he said.

Christians outside Israel should pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Segal said. “Not necessarily a political peace, but the peace that passes all understanding. Pray for the Prince of Peace to return.” Christians should not place blame or use prophecy to justify the violence, but instead should pray for the protection of all people in Israel, Munayer said.

*NOVEMBER 12, 2000: INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER

FOR THE PERSECUTED CHURCH

>From: USPRAYERTRACK@cs.com

The Fifth Annual International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (known as IDOP) will be held on Sunday, 12 November, with over 300,000 churches in over 130 countries participating. The main service this year will take place in Melbourne, Australia.  This event has taken on international and ecumenical proportions unusual in the Christian world.

This is largely due to the fact that there has been widespread international attention given to the plight of persecuted Christians. At least two hundred million people in today’s world are being denied their full human rights simply because they are Christians. Evidence from the U.S. State Department’s annual report on religious freedom, released on the 5th of September, clearly supports this, and also shows that Christianity is often growing fastest in countries where human rights are most threatened.

Those who are persecuted worst are also those who truly believe in the power of prayer: Their consistent request is not that we send money or U.N. troops, but that we stand by them and remember them in our prayers, at the very least for just one day a year.  Some of the worst nations for persecution of Christians are North Korea, Saudi Arabia, China, Laos, Indonesia and the North African nations.  There has also been a wave of anti-Christian violence in India since 1998, when the Hindu nationalist party, the BJP, took power.

The World Evangelical Fellowship, which represents over 150 million Christians worldwide, therefore invites Christian churches everywhere to join in praying for the persecuted Church on this Sunday in November.

·        The theme for this year’s IDOP is: ONE IN HIM - Come Together,

Pray Together, Act Together

·        Let us remember one very important thing: The LEAST we can do is the MOST we can do: PRAY!

*ISRAEL: 12 DAYS OF RECONCILIATION AND PRAYER >From: RArcher821@aol.com >Report From: anncarroll@worldnet.att.net (Ann Carroll)

Even though there is civil war unlike anything since the early 1970’s, there

is evidence of God’s hand working in the hearts of the people and the Church.

There are new divisions within the believers, the shaking of leadership, the

fragility of life, and the temporary day-to-day existence without ability to

plan for the future - are all evident. But fear is not found, nor abandonment of purpose. No one in the Church is leaving or running away, but pressing into prayer and trust in God’s ways!

Two big Christian conferences went ahead without change in the last month. I

watched as 5,000 Christians from 100 nations gathered for the 20th Annual

Feast of Tabernacles celebration (only 250 canceled due to war). I also

attended Tom Hess’s All Nations Conference, which was 12 days of

reconciliation, prayer, and worship as 2,000 delegates from 207 nations sat

in the presence of Jesus as war broke out all around. At times, the hotel

had

military soldiers stationed in the lobby and surrounding the hotel property

to protect attendees from Islamic force firebombs (which did destroy a local

pastor’s car and some hotel buses),etc. But the delegates pressed in to the

presence and He visited the group in amazing ways. For more  info write the

staff at: jhopfan@compuserve.com

There were several 24 hour prayer  rooms and intensive reconciliation between believing Jews, Arabs and other groups. John Mulinde from Uganda began a project to accumulate the redemptive purpose of each people group (nation) represented. Prayer for the local Jewish and Arab body of Christ was forefront. A significant all night prayer meeting in Tel Aviv allowed the torches of fire to be passed from the nations to the believers in the land as 2000 gathered to pray and worship (although the Arab believers could not travel out of their cities to attend).

Please remember the believers, both Jew and Arab and International

volunteers, that try to keep daily routines/life in a war-torn country. Many

are unable to work due to war, lack of tourism is going to bankrupt many businesses that employ believers, and disruptions in lives is contributing to more confusion/struggle.

The only solution is Jesus and His witness there must remain strong...to this purpose I and many are committed.

Again, thank you for your prayers, Ann Carol

*ITALY: STRATEGIC PRAYER NETWORK

>From: USPRAYERTRACK@cs.com

Ross & Dawn Piazza <rosspiazza@libero.it> report that many ministries of prayer or intercession and individual intercessors are seeking cooperation with Gerico 2000, the Italian prayer and revival bulletin. Gerico 2000 has also become the Italian Prayer Center and the Italian Spiritual Warfare Network. “At the present time we are in the process of discerning who to have ‘on board’ for potential new leaders in helping us to operate the network on a city wide and regional scale,” Piazza says. “We believe that we may soon see many fruits from all this and eventually see a true revival taking place in this spiritually dry land of Italy. In the last few months, the Lord has revealed us (using also intercessors who have come to visit us) many things concerning the spiritual climate over Italy. We really believe that Italy has a strategic importance for the end times, simply because ‘the roots’ of her past. We see that the Lord is at work, because in one way or another people is becoming aware of the need to begin to fight ‘against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms’ and not ‘against flesh and blood’ which it is the favored thing to do here in Italy, even among Christians!”

*AFRICA 2001 CONFERENCE: PRAYING & MOBILIZING

>From: OUTREACHNG@aol.com

We are praying and mobilising leaders for Africa 2001. We are only 62 days

to

the conference. Join us to pray against the contentions we are having from

the kingdom of darkness. Contend with the spirits of jealousy, distraction,

death and frustration. Pray for political stability and availability of fuel

or gasoline for people to purchase freely for their cars as we have been experiencing its scarcity for months. It is very uncomfortable. This has skyrocketed traveling costs all over the nation.

However, we rejoice in the Lord as the day draw nearer. We are happy for

what

God is doing in our nation at this time.

Your brother, Rev. Mosy U. Madugba
