PRAY
ON SUNDAY FOR ELECTION DAY
>From:
“Crosswalk.com” <newsletters@crosswalk.com>
The
National Day of Prayer Task Force and Focus on the Family have launched a
nationwide campaign for the Nov. 7 elections.
The
initiate parallels a similar call to prayer issued by Southern Baptist
Convention President James Merritt.
The
task force/Focus on the Family initiative, “PRAY . . . FOR ELECTION DAY!”
will encourage millions of Christians to seriously consider and act upon their
spiritual and moral obligations in the upcoming elections. The two ministries
are targeting pastors, ministry leaders and their constituencies to mark Nov.
5 as a day to pray, fast and exhort others to vote.
“This
is a watershed moment for our country,” said Shirley Dobson, chair of the
National Day of Prayer Task Force. “As a nation we’ve lost our tradition
of right and wrong, common decency and kindness. Only God, along with the
commitment and courage exercised by people of faith, can restore truth and
morality to our land.”
Dobson
noted that although God desires to intervene in every area of society, his
promise to bring healing to the nation is conditional. “The prayers of God’s
people ultimately offer hope for our nation—for God calls on his people to
intercede, and he alone has the power to place men and women of integrity in
positions of leadership,” Dobson said. “Our civic duty to vote and exhort
others to participate in the electoral process is a tremendous privilege and
responsibility.”
The
two ministries are asking each Christian to urge two people to vote, who in
turn will ask two people, and so on. They are trusting that a domino effect
will occur as the Christian constituency is encouraged to take seriously their
responsibility of citizenship. While they stress that all believers have an
obligation to participate, fasting is optional and should be undertaken with
medical supervision and common sense.
Further
information about the initiative can be obtained from the National Day of
Prayer at 1-800-444-8828.
Merritt
also noted the need for prayer and fasting in urging Southern Baptist
participation in the upcoming election.
Specific
prayer is needed, Merritt said, for the election of godly men and women to
serve in public offices, from the White House to Congress.
“We
need to set a Christian example of responsible citizenship by participating in
our nation’s government,” said Merritt, pastor of the Atlanta-area First
Baptist Church, Snellville.

PRAYING
FOR U.S. ELECTIONS
>From:
“Mark Shockey” MarkShockey@mn.rr.com
Liveprayer.com,
the only non-adult internet site in the world literally broadcasting live
video 24/7 for over a year now, announces a special day of prayer on Monday,
November 6th from 12:01 a.m. EST thru midnight EST. The focus is to
ask God to bless the elections of Tuesday, November 7th, that He
will put in office those who will help our country be the great nation He
raised it up to be. This country was founded on biblical principles. God
blessed it and allowed it to prosper and become great because of the
faithfulness to those biblical principles.
In the last 40 years, those principles have been compromised, and we
are now at a time in history when those principles must be re-established so
God’s hand of blessing will continue to be on our land.
The
greatest weapon we have is prayer. Prayer changes things. Prayer moves the
hand of God. There is not only power in prayer, there is incredible power when
the people of God come together in one heart, one accord and pray.
In
the book of Acts every time the church prayed corporately, the power of God
fell. We are at a time in the history of our nation when we need an infusion
of God’s power. I believe that the prayers of 1 million of God’s children
will not be ignored.
Will
you commit to be part of over 1 million who will pray for the elections and
our country sometime during the day of Monday, November 6th?
Everyone
who registers will get a special certificate emailed to them showing that they
were part of this incredible prayer effort. To register, simply email me at bkeller@liveprayer.com
and type in the word “prayer”.
To
register, simply email the word “prayer” to bkeller@liveprayer.com.

--->NPPNote:
I had the privilege of pastoring Tony, who is now in Bible college. Here are
some of his observations from The Call DC...
I’m
writing this fresh from coming back from a major event in Washington DC, this
past September 2. The event was
called, THE CALL DC. It took
place on the Main Mall in DC, and was a call for youth and their parents to
fast and pray for this nation. About
300,000 people attended. There
were many well known speakers, musicians, and worship leaders that came to
minister. However, no one
attending knew exactly who was ministering for the purpose of keeping this God
focused, not man focused.
The
President of my school, Dr. Michael Brown, had the opportunity to give a
message there on “Revolution,” that’s been burning on his heart for
almost a year. So when the
students got back to school this semester he told us he would like ALL of us
to go with. So, the few weeks
prior, students were trying to come up with the money and the school was
racing to get all the accommodations ready.
Some students needed help with the cost to go, so an offering was taken
up in one of our school chapels. We
just told God the need, and asked Him to provide.
In one offering, God provided $30,000, which would all go toward the
cost to go. So, in total, there were over 800 students, faculty, and
staff that went, in 15 buses.
The
main focuses of the event were REVELATION, REPENTANCE, RECONCILIATION (b/w 2
generations), REVIVAL, and REVOLUTION. We
spent a great deal of time praying for specific things related to each area.
Young people were crying out to God with everything they had in them
for this nation and their generation to turn back to God.
There was a true breaking point, where enough was enough;
we will pray in school; even if it’s against the law, we will preach
the Gospel; even if they arrest us, we will confront sin (in love); even if
they call it hatred. We are
starting to get back to New Testament Christianity.
When
we talk about revolution, we DO NOT mean violence or hatred of ANY kind! (Eph.
6:12) Quite the contrary, this is
a Jesus revolution where we His followers start living radical lives of
holiness, sacrifice, compassion, boldness, courage.
Standing up for morality and truth and not accepting God to be thrown
out of our nation, but go against the grain of society BY LIFE, OR BY DEATH
(Phil. 1:19-21). Satan’s whole
purpose is to destroy the human race! If
he can get the Church to stop praying, preaching the Gospel, and boldly
reaching out to people, many will go to eternal Hell.
He will try to intimidate the Church with human laws, but we must “obey
God, rather than men.” (Acts 5:29) We
don’t have much time left!! (Rom. 13:11-14)
Our leader, Jesus, is calling us to follow Him fully, or join the world
that is against Him (Matt. 12:30).
There can be no compromise, there is only one way to live this
Christian life (Lk. 14:26-33, Mk. 8:34-38).
We’ve got the rest of eternity to relax and rejoice, but we’ve got
one shot to show Jesus our Savior and Lord, how much we love Him!
Tony

What
is holiness? It is simply
complete conformity in all
things,
whether great or small, to the holy will of God, being of one mind
with
God in all the judgments of our mind, in all the feelings of the heart,
and
in all the out-goings of our life. Agreeing
always with God’s estimate of things, and not our own preconceived ideas
about things.
To
be holy means, as the Hebrew suggestions, is to be “wholesome, all of one
piece.”
It is a crisis with a view of process, and is made possible through
Christ,
for it is wrapped up in Him. It
is an experience to be lived through by hiding God’s Word in your heart.
We have to learn that “Thy Word have I hid in my heart that I might
no sin against Thee.” (Psalm119, verse 2).
Mrs.
Anne Wooding was a pioneer missionary to the blind in Nigeria during the late
1930s. She was attached to SIM
and met her husband, Alfred Wooding, while at language school in Jos.
Both of them came originally from Liverpool.
Mrs. Wooding, who is now aged 92, is the mother of journalist Dan
Wooding, who was born in Nigeria, and his sister Mrs. Ruth Ross.

*PIPER
ON PRAYER: “LIFE IS WAR”
>From:
“Crosswalk.com” <newsletters@crosswalk.com>
>By
Debbie Moore
Just
as Olympic athletes are at war with their bodies, so in the spiritual realm
“life is war” for Christians, a prominent evangelical author and minister
told students at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, N.C.,
during the annual Carver-Barnes Lectures, Sept. 24-25.
And
just as the Olympians are free to reach gold-medal status after they
understand the physical war in which they are involved, so Christians will be
free “for the most radical kind of engagement in world evangelization that
is possible for justified sinners to experience a movement of prayer,” said
John Piper, 20-year senior pastor of Bethlehem Baptist Church, Minneapolis.
Speaking
on the foundations of prayer, Piper said a movement of prayer will be awesome
and sustained only “within the context of life being war and God being
sovereign.”
Only
when Christians understand that “life is war” and that “God is sovereign”
will they be able to access prayer’s full power.
Until then, they cannot know either what life is for or what prayer is
for, Piper said.
“The
number one reason prayer doesn’t work for saints is because we have taken a
wartime walkie-talkie and turned it into a domestic intercom,” Piper said.
People
live differently when they are in the midst of war, he emphasized. Not only
are they on the alert, armed and vigilant, but they also spend their money
differently because “the cause of the front line is everything,” he said.
“[War] brings such a massive change in the way you live your life.”
Christians
in America easily display their lack of a wartime mentality, he said. They
think about how to get more comfortable and more secure, how to multiply their
comforts and ease, justifying it all with 10,000 types of sugarcoated
ministries.
This
war currently raging is worse than what occurred in World War II because “the
conflict isn’t just restricted to any global theater,” Piper said. “It’s
in every town, every city, every home and family, every church. The casualties
don’t just lose an arm, an eye, a leg, or their own life. They lose their
souls. They enter not into any prison camp, but into Hell forever and ever.”
During
this war, God’s mission for His people is for them to pray, Piper said.
Unfortunately, “people have simply stopped believing that life is war.”
Instead
of using prayer as God intended—as a powerful force along with “the Sword
of the Spirit, which is the Word of God” against the powers of darkness in
this world—Christians use prayer ineffectively, so “it malfunctions [as]
it is strung up with little wires all through the cabins, the cars and all
through the nice places. We try simply to make our lives more comfortable with
[prayer].”
The
bullets of spiritual warfare are “flying over our heads, people falling all
around us, blood everywhere, Hell filling up with lost people,” he said.
During it all, “we’re getting our second houses and our second cars, our
nice clothes and our fat retirements, our comfortable, safe neighborhoods,
while the world can just perish, thank you.”
Instead,
“this great thing called prayer is a wartime walkie-talkie, designed for
war, not for peacetime, and it’s designed to do a lot of things in war,”
Piper said, such as:
·
get the accurate
location to target the Word of God;
·
give protection;
·
blast open doors
so the tanks of the Word of God can go through and defeat the enemy;
·
ask for miracles
of healing both for wounded soldiers and for soldiers who don’t have any
strength left;
·
supply the forces
with what they need; and
·
call in
reinforcements.
Until
the Christian life is seen as war, “you will not sustain a life of vigilance
in prayer, perseverance in prayer, agonizing in prayer, nor will you build a
church that prays anything other than some simple little prayer-meeting type
prayer,” Piper said.
Speaking
directly to Christians in the Southern Baptist Convention, he said there is a
desperate need for a “brokenness” for the “50-70 percent of the people
who belong to Southern Baptist churches and don’t come.”
In
addition to a keen awareness that life is war, Christians also need to
acknowledge the sovereignty of God, Piper said, if they are going to sustain
“a heart of prayer and churches of prayer and a movement of prayer for the
global cause of God in world evangelization and local evangelism.”
Acknowledgment
of the sovereignty of God is necessary not only because “you can’t
consistently pray for God to save people if you don’t believe He has the
sovereign right to save people,” Piper said, but also because “unless you
believe that He’s going to win the war, you won’t have the energy and the
hope to sustain prayer for the triumph.”
An
author and former professor, Piper has written several books, including
Desiring God: Meditations of a Christian Hedonist, God’s Passion for His
Glory: Living the Vision of Jonathan Edwards and Recovering Biblical Manhood
and Womanhood: A Response to Evangelical Feminism (co-edited with Wayne Grudem).
A doctoral graduate of the University of Munich, Piper taught biblical studies
at Bethel College, St. Paul, Minn., 1974-80.
Established
in 1961, the Carver-Barnes Lectures honor W. O. Carver (1868-1954) and W.W. Barnes (1883-1960) for their

history and the mission of the church. They are funded in part from the gifts

*PRAYING WITH THE PERSECUTED CHURCH
>From:
Assist Communications: Assistcomm@cs.com
In
preparation for November 12th’s annual observance of the
International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church, Brother Andrew, the
Dutch-born author of “God’s Smuggler” and founder of the Open Doors
ministry, shares his reflections on the necessity of the free church to pray
for and be involved with the persecuted church.
“If
We Do Not Have a Willingness to Share and Suffer with the Persecuted
Church,
then We Do Not Know God”
By
Brother Andrew
As
I look around in our world today, I see an ever-increasing need, both
spiritual and economic. In more and more areas, persecution of the church is
the order of the day. We live on an island of liberty and prosperity, and we
would like to believe that the whole world is like this. Nothing could be
further from the truth.
Yet
that is not the biggest problem. Far worse is the breach in the Body of
Christ, the incredible confusion and lack of vision, knowledge and
responsibility. We simply do not seem to be able to determine the difference
between right and wrong. And when we have chosen, we often find ourselves
opposing those who also claim to be followers of Jesus.
This
applies to lifestyle, ethnic questions, moral choices, political viewpoints
and interpretation of prophecy. Shouldn’t being in Christ, who is Truth, be
sufficient? Apparently not.
The
obvious answer to this mess is that we must get to know God. If we know His
character, we can judge everything in that light. It becomes so much easier to
reject whatever is not in harmony with God’s character, no matter how
trendy.
Asking
ourselves, “What would Jesus do?” is a step in the right direction. A step
further is, “What would Jesus say?”
The
self-destructive wave of wealth and prosperity that threatens to destroy the
evangelical movement from within can only be withstood by a far deeper
identification with the Suffering Church. The ultimate test of knowing God is
to be found in the measure with which we feel one—in word and in deed --
with the Suffering Church.
The
Word of God gives the teaching and the examples. Both Moses in the Old
Testament and Paul in the New Testament were the strongest intercessors and
leaders. Both had a faith and a love that knew no limits: They were willing to
be blotted out of the Book of Life if only their people would be saved! Moses would not have come to that place had he not identified
with the Suffering of Christ (Heb. 11:26).
Both
prayed a strong prayer that greatly influenced their life and ministry:
“That
I may know Thee” (Exodus 33:13 and Phil. 3:10). Paul, who had personal
knowledge of the Suffering Church, coupled his request to the fellowship of
Jesus’ suffering.
We
seem to prefer leaving that part out, ending our prayer instead with the more
convenient “...and the power of His resurrection.”
But
we will see no demonstration of the power of Jesus’ resurrection unless it
is coupled with reaching the Suffering Church. His Body is the Church, and
Paul wants to fill up in his flesh what is lacking (Col. 1:24). If we do not
have that love, a willingness to share and suffer, then we do not know God (1
John 4:8).
It
is so basic, so simple. The Suffering Church cannot make it without us (Heb.
11:40), nor can we make it without them. The breach in the Body of Christ must
be healed, for His sake and for the kingdom of God.
“That
I may know Him” should become our daily cry until God reveals Himself in all
His majesty and compassion as the God who forgives (Psalm 99:8).

What
is the “Prayeramid”. The prayeramid is a pyramid of prayer, to
raise 10,000 hours of prayer over our nation for national revival. If one
person was to pray for 10,000 hours it would take that person 417 days,
24 hours a day with out a break. But if 1,200,000 people pray for 30
seconds each it will add up to 10,000 hours of prayer. Here’s how
it works. When you pray
and send this to 2 people they will then pray and each send it to 2 people.
That makes 4 people now praying. Then
those 4 people will pray and send it to 8 people, then 16 people, then 32
people, and so on. It looks like this:
1
2,2,
4,4,4,4,
8,8,8,8,8,8,
16,16,16,16,16,
16,16,16,16,16,16,
32,32,32,32,32,32,32,
32,32,32,32,32,32,32,32,
64,64,64,64,64,64,64,64,64,
64,64,64,64,64,64,64,64,64,64,
64,64,64,64,64,64,64,64,64,64,64,
1.
For personal revival for the people that you send this to and for their
church and the salvation of their family, friends and neighbors.
2.
That we as a nation would repent on a national scale.
3.
That God would send revival to our Nation.
4.
That God would restore the family structure of our Nation.
In
the Name of JESUS, Amen!

*PrayWORLD!2000 - CONTINUES TO GROW!
>From:
“Peggy Fiala” <pfiala@ccci.org>
Joyful
Greetings in Christ to Prayer Leaders Everywhere. Give praise to God that
PrayWORLD!2000 continues to grow. The
Philippines have adapted the Prayer Calendar and circulated it throughout the
nation. African nations are
observing 40 days starting November 1. The
National Association of Evangelicals will join the Lenten Season schedule in
2001.Two coming international events call for our prayers globally before the
end of this year.
1.
Sunday, November 12, has been designated as an International Day of
Prayer for the Persecuted Church. Urge
churches and individuals to unite in prayer that day for Christians who are
suffering and dying because they believe in Jesus.
Ask God to empower them to shine forth the love and grace of God, even
to those who persecute them (Matthew 5:11,16; Hebrews 13:3).
2.
Sunday evening, December 31, will welcome the true dawn of the Third
Millennium (January 1, 2001). That evening, thousands of Christian leaders will unite in
Jerusalem to seek God for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit on this
generation.
Let
all churches in all nations sincerely join in the same petition on that same
night...for the world and for our local and national concerns.
During New Year’s Eve, 1999, millions of people watched gigantic
fireworks displays by television, as world-class cities celebrated the passing
of the old Millennium. May the
joining of international prayers by the Body of Christ generate a far greater
display of Christ’s glory as we enter the new Century.
Celebrate
Messiah will open and close with hope-filled worship; worship that focuses on
what God already has done in world evangelization, but also on what He is
preparing to do to fully establish Messiah’s supremacy throughout the earth.
Such worship may arise from songs, prayers, reports, and testimonies,
as well as a litany of verbal praise. Concluding
worship will glorify God by expressing confidence that He will greatly expand
that which He has so graciously begun.
Eight
themes in Jerusalem are commended to the Body of Christ globally for the
evening or night of prayer, taken from Messiah’s life and ministry.
The 2,500 leaders will seek:
BIRTH:
that God would replicate through His people, for the sake of nations,
works of revelation, identification, and invasion-all of which marked Messiah’s
incarnation.
BAPTISM:
that God would replicate the launch of Messiah’s public mission by
igniting new missionary activity throughout the church.
TEMPTATION: that God would
reenact Messiah’s victory over Satan, multiplying our triumphs over the
powers of darkness wherever the gospel goes.
TRANSFIGURATION:
that God would replicate a fresh manifestation of Messiah’s glory,
through a powerful visitation of the Spirit upon His people that gives us eyes
to see and hearts to obey Messiah. CRUCIFIXION: that God would cause the church to revisit the cross,
embracing its full work for us and increasing our desire to preach Messiah
crucified to all who are lost.
RESURRECTION:
that God would revitalize our experience of being buried and raised with
Messiah to walk in newness of life, so that the unreached might believe our
claims about His defeat of death. ASCENSION:
that God would confirm and vindicate the supremacy of Messiah within His
church and over all peoples of the earth. RETURN: that God would reawaken Christians everywhere to the
great hope of the Consummation, making us ready to do whatever it takes to
complete the Great Commission and bring back the King.
Join
in right where you are. You need
not necessarily schedule eight entire hours.
You could start with five minutes on each theme.
Including opening and closing worship would amount to about an hour.
Do it as the Lord leads you. What
a memorable way to enter the Third Millennium.
What a vision of revival this night can paint for you and all those who
join you. God bless you, and
yours!
Ben
A. Jennings, International Coordinator, PrayWORLD!
--->NPPNote:
The 8 themes identified above may be used as the format for your next Concert
of Prayer or weeknight prayer gathering.

*JESUS VIDEO TO 27,000 TEXAS PASTORS ... PLUS WEBSITES
>Barbara
Bucklin <jvptxpray@juno.com>
The
informational video to be sent to 27,000 pastors is finally completed.
It has been a struggle with many and varied attacks and problems along
the way—the usual and more in the manner of technical and communication
struggles. Campus Crusade has donated expertise and funding for its completion
and mailing. Folks there say they have never seen any greater attacks on a
project.
We
all believe that what happens in Texas in these next months have Kingdom
ramifications far beyond what we understand—His thoughts and His ways are so
much higher than ours. But we can see with physical eyes what 400,000 lives
touched by God’s Spirit and his Word through the JESUS Video, could have in
the Austin and Waco areas and far beyond those borders.
Please
join with me to fervently pray: “Mighty Messiah! You are the Lord of all
powers. I believe you were exalted over every enemy. I ask that Your blessing
and power be extended to this project so that it can speedily accomplish Your
purpose to move thousands from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of
Light. Thwart the demonic powers that would hinder the production and mailing
of this tape to shepherds around the state.
As You draw them to watch this film, may Your Spirit rekindle in them a
passion for the lost . Build up Your people to become powerful in Your Spirit
to rebuild and restore their cities. Give them Your vision of the possibility
of transforming their communities to Your image. Send Your people to help
bring in Your harvest. I pray also for the peace of Jerusalem. Even so, come,
Lord Jesus.”
The
goal of the Project is to mail to every home in the state a copy of Campus
Crusade’s JESUS Video. The JESUS Video is taken directly from the Bible, the
book of Luke. We hope the information you find here will be helpful. If you
have suggestions, reports or other submissions, please forward them to news@JesusVPTexas.org:
news@JesusVPTexas.org The JESUS
Video Project of Texas plans to mail the week of October 16 a special
videotape to every church in Texas. This video is designed to challenge church
staffs and congregations to get involved in one of the greatest evangelistic
initiatives of modern times. Two presentations are included on the tape, a
short presentation specifically for the church staff and another for the
congregation to view the vision of this massive project.
Included
on the video are:
·
Dr. Bill Bright,
Founder and President, Campus Crusade for Christ,
·
Robby Carson,
State Coordinator, JESUS Video Project of Texas.
·
Dr. Charles Wade,
Executive Director, Baptist General Convention of Texas.
·
Max Lucado, Pulpit
Minister, Oak Hill Church of Christ, San Antonio
·
Dr. Adrian Rogers,
Pastor/Teacher, Love Worth Finding Ministries
·
Dr. Tony Evans,
Senior Pastor, Oak Cliff Bible Church
·
Dr. Dave McFadden,
Pastor, First Baptist Church, Kerrville.
·
Josh McDowell,
Josh McDowell Ministry
·
Ramiro Pena,
Pastor, Christ the King Baptist Church, Waco.
·
Vic Schober,
Senior Pastor, The Church of the Glad Tidings, Austin
The
desire of the State Committee has always been to mail the JESUS Video to the
entire state at one time. This is still a possibility, but continues to rely
on the participation of local churches, with some areas engaged and others not
as far along in the preparations. The state has been divided up by 3-digit zip
codes, allowing the state committee to review and qualify church readiness by
a definable area. These areas that meet the qualifications of readiness by
January 5, 2001 will be included in the first mailing, the first week of
April. For more information, visit the JVPTX website at www.JesusTexas.org
<http://www.jesustexas.org/> .
The
number one goal of the JESUS Video Project of Texas is to bring more people to
Christ and to strengthen churches by helping build strong, mature believers
who will then lead even more people to Christ. The means to this goal is to
mail a copy of the JESUS Video to every household in the state of Texas (over
8.4 million households).
Blessings
to you all.

*NOVEMBER 2-4 FASTING & PRAYER 2000 / SLEEPFAST
>From: USAPRAY@aol.com (Intercessors For America)
Sponsored
by Campus Crusade for Christ, this annual event links churches across the U.S.
and around the world via satellite for three days of fasting and prayer for
revival and evangelism. SleepFast
is an expression of the observance for teenagers and young adults.
For more information phone 1-800-888-FAST or see Web www.fastingprayer.com.

In
addition to alternative “harvest” parties sponsored by local churches,
many Christian families are now “lighting” their yards and homes in
special ways and using the annual Halloween night of neighborhood “trick-or-treating”
as a time to welcome neighborhood children and parents, to pass out tracts,
and to offer to pray for their felt needs.
“Light the Night” is sponsored by March for Jesus.
See Web www.mfj.org for more

*SAN DIEGO: NEW CHURCH WITH A LARGE VISION
>From:
Michael Kole <mkole1@san.rr.com>
I’m
writing to you because I believe you’re a person with a heart for reaching
the lost in San Diego. If that’s
a pretty high priority for you right now, I want to share with you what God is
doing in San Diego and how we could join in this vision together.
For
those who know me, consider that my passion for many years has been
evangelism, discipleship and ministering through home fellowship groups. After
I have prayed and meditated much on God’s Word, God has given me a clear
vision of focusing this passion in reaching the lost in San Diego with the
Gospel of Jesus Christ. God has raised several Godly men and women who have
come along side in planting a new church (JESUS Fellowship), that embraces
this vision in serving God by reaching unbelievers and helping them become
fully committed followers of Jesus Christ.
JESUS
Fellowship’s primary purpose is to live out the Great Commandment (Matthew
22:37-40) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).
Our desire is to win the lost and assimilate them into home cell
groups. There they will receive a
solid Biblical foundation of discipleship, equipping and coaching them to
reach others who will become fully devoted followers of Jesus.
New
cell groups will be planted in homes, offices, workplaces, hospitals and
wherever God is touching the hearts of unbelievers.
The cells will be established with people of common interests so that
they will have a more comfortable environment in which to discover the grace
of Jesus Christ.
If
you have a heart for reaching the lost in San Diego, please join us as Prayer
Partners to intercede on behalf of the hundreds of thousands of San Diegans
who still lack a personal, intimate relationship with our Lord Jesus.
Please pray the following for the JESUS Fellowship:
1.
That revival will draw us into a deeper and more intimate relationship
with Jesus
2.
That new cell groups are established throughout San Diego
3.
That a fresh anointing of the Holy Spirit come upon all current and
potential cell group leaders
4.
That our hearts are filled with compassion and urgency to reach the
lost for Jesus
5.
That new laborers are raised up for new additional out-reaches
6.
That God draws the unbelievers to Himself in the outreach areas
7.
That the unbelievers seek to know Jesus
8.
That the unbelievers believe in Jesus Christ as Savior
9.
That the unbelievers yield to follow Jesus as Lord
10.
That newly converted believers take root and grow in the fullness of
the Holy Spirit
If
you know someone who needs to be introduced to Jesus, please use the attached
flyer for inviting them to JESUS Fellowship Saturday evening
Worship Services. The services are held at 6:00 PM at the Holiday Inn at Aero
Drive and I-15 in San Diego. If
you prefer that we contact them, please e-mail their information to us and we
will invite hem to our next service or cell group meeting.
A
major impact can be made for JESUS in San Diego by teaming up with other
believers as Prayer Partners. So please forward this e-mail to fellow
Christians for review and prayer. Together, through prayer, we can invite God
to make a difference in the lives of people in San Diego.
Your
Brother in JESUS, Michael Kole, Pastor
