Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God
* Have you ever felt like you take the Lord's Supper or Communion too
casually?
* Has it become merely a tradition?
* Have you ever wanted to guide your people to prepare to partake in a more
worthy manner?
* Does your church need to return to their first love for Christ and to holy
living?
This 112 page workbook guides members to remember what Christ did on the cross
to provide a remedy for sin and to rekindle in their hearts a first love for
their wounded Savior. It guides them to examine their lives and relationships to
get right with God and others so that they can partake of the Lord's Table in a
worthy manner. Use the built-in pastor's guide to lead your church in a
celebration of the Lord's Table as a sacred assembly of the church.
by Claude King, coauthor of Experiencing God: Knowing and
Doing the Will of God
Before ascending into heaven Jesus gave one Final Command (Great Commission)
to His disciples that He restated in a number of ways to assure that they would
not forget. Yet today most of our church members have no involvement in making
disciples or being His witnesses. This 112 page workbook provides seven steps to
help every member find his or her place in the harvest fields and begin obeying
the Final Command together with the rest of the Body of Christ. Leader's
material is included for small groups or churchwide use. Mobilize your entire
congregation for obedience to the Final Command.
Come to the Lord's Table and Final Command Action

* PASTOR PHIL'S PRAYER LETTER
“Reports coming in regularly to my office convince me that the national prayer
movement is strong, growing, and making a real difference!”
When I received this word of encouragement from David Bryant, chairman of
America's National Prayer Committee, I knew I should share it with you.
Whether your part is small or large, noticed by many or seemingly invisible, the
Lord is using you to make stronger this prayer movement of His Spirit.
Whether your Pastors' Prayer Group or church prayer meeting or prayer network
appears to be growing or not, its role is significant and substantial.
Whether you are seeing the fruit of changed lives and transformed streets or
not, know the combined prayers of the Body of Christ are making a real
difference in history because they are begin heard in eternity.
So, please keep on praying; keep on inviting others to the place of prayer; keep
looking for the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus in the
skies or in the eyes of those with a newfound faith.
May the September 11th Anniversary result in the awakening we have been seeking
all these years,
Pastor Phil

Seven Days With Our Pastor
--->NPPNote: Introduce this strategic prayer format in a corporate
gathering. Move from Sunday through Saturday; transitioning with a hymn or
praise song; and varying with small group prayer, personal prayer, and
volunteered prayer.
By Elaine Helms
“Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; . . .” Hebrews
13:7a
In covenant with my sisters and brothers, I
will become a part of a mighty prayer support system for our pastor. Each day
he may know that I pray for him.
“Pray also for me, so that when I
speak, a message may be given to me to make known with boldness the mystery of
the Gospel.” Ephesians 6:19
1.) Pray that Christ may be lifted up through him.
2.) Pray that he may experience the anointing of the Spirit in his preaching.
3.) Pray that needs may be met, hearts blessed and lives changed, through the
preaching of the word.
“Give your servant therefore an
understanding mind to govern your people, able to discern between good and evil,
for who can govern this your great people?” I Kings 3:9
1.) Pray that he may lead his staff with the direction and sensitivity that
only the Holy Spirit can offer.
2.) Pray that he may offer guidance to the Overseers (Elders) and lay
leadership that may bring unity and shared vision.
“Because you have made the Lord your
refuge, the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall befall you, no scourge
come near your tent. He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in
all your ways.” Psalm 91:9-11
1.) Pray for his Sabbath this day and rest in the Lord.
2.) Pray for him as part of his family . . . a husband, a father, a son . . .
that those cherished times in his home shall be a blessing to his soul and to
the souls of his loved ones.
3.) Pray that things of earth will not overtake his spirit with preoccupation
and misplaced priorities.
“I will give you shepherds after my
own heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Jeremiah 3:15
1.) Pray that the Holy Spirit may be the Comforter of souls through His
servant as he counsels the troubled, visits the sick in homes and hospitals, and
exhibits the love of Christ in his daily acts of ministry.
2.) Pray that, as Pastor to his staff, he may emulate the strength and
compassion of the Good Shepherd.
“I solemnly charge you in the
presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead,
and by His appearing and His kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and
out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction.” 2
Timothy 4:1-2
1.) Pray that as he prepares his sermons, only the Word of the Lord may be
revealed.
2.) Pray that the emerging vision God has for His people may be revealed and
clearly interpreted through His servant.
“ . . . How beautiful are the feet
of those who bring good news.” Romans 10:15
1.) Pray for him as he wins souls to Christ and as he teaches others to win
souls to Christ.
2.) Pray that doors of opportunity for witness may be continually opening to
him.
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and
in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, that you may b able
to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against
flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world
forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the
heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:10-12
1.) Pray that he may continue to discover new depths of understanding as a
student of the Word.
2.) Pray that he may ever find a consistent balance between the Word and the
deed as he follows Jesus.
3.) Pray that a wall of protection of the Holy Spirit may keep him safe from
the devices of Satan.

QUESTION: How does one identify intercessors?
ANSWER:
1. Are you trying to find out who is praying in any given area and to enlist
those to pray for concerns?
Usually intercessors are discovered because they like to pray and show up at
prayer related events. Or they might respond in conversation with words
like....I will be praying for you, etc. I have found that using the term
"intercessor" can be limiting in that many who have the gift would never think
of themselves as an intercessor, thus it is helpful just to term things in a
general way, like "those who have a burden to pray."
2. Are you trying to understand particular gifts that different intercessors
operate from to help mobilize prayer more specifically?
If so, I developed a survey tool that you can download and have others
complete....it can be found at: http://www.prayercommandpost.org
3. Are you trying to identify intercessors to gather personal prayer partners
for yourself?
If so, I would recommend developing a general prayer partner list, this you can
do by recruiting others to pray for you. You can communicate general requests to
this group. If you are looking for more covenant partners, don't do this by
recruitment....let others come to you and speak how they are frequently burdened
to pray for you and then you will know that God has assigned them to you and you
can pray and see if you have a trust level and release to invite them in to pray
for you in more specific ways.
Feel free to email me with specific questions and I will try to answer them or
refer you to others who are good counsel in that particular area.
May the Lord bless you abundantly, Lynn Heatley

I saw the mention of Prayer Starter Resources asking for prayer starter ideas.
I wasn't sure if it should be sent to you or not, but I did not see an address
for submissions. As you may have guessed, I have one.
In about 1996 our church (Reidland Baptist Church, Paducah, KY USA) was trying
to put together a couple of prayer teams. We weren't having much luck. We just
couldn't come up with a night that didn't have conflicts for someone or with
other church activities. I had just gone through a divorce and had learned a
lot about prayer during that time. I found that praying for others and seeing
miracles happen in response to those prayers made my personal burden much
lighter.
After several meetings trying to unsuccessfully work out a schedule for our
prayer teams, a guy named John Sills stood up. He said, "I want to make an
offer. I'll be here at the church every Saturday night at 9:00 p.m. to pray.
If any of you want to join me you're welcome. If you don't, it'll just be me
and the Lord." That was that.
Starting that next Saturday, John showed up at the church almost every Saturday
night for three years. I became one of about ten people who rotated through the
group as we had time. Each Saturday we would have four or five show up.
Sometimes it was just John and the Lord. Sometimes it was just me and the Lord.
Other times it was two or three others. God was faithful. He said wherever two
or three gather together, there I will be also. He kept His promise.
That time of prayer provided me with several great lessons. First, all it takes
for God to move mightily is one person being faithful. Second, great things
happen when you pray for your pastor and congregation. Third, God does answer
prayers, just not always in the way we expect.
When we started a new pastor search, we prayed for our new pastor for six months
before we even knew his name. I firmly believe that has resulted in his
ministry getting off to a great start.
I could share dozens of stories of how God answered prayers and worked miracles
during that time, more than we have space or time for here. Just remember,
all it takes for a successful prayer ministry is one person being faithful.

August 5: Luke 5:31 “And
Jesus answered and said to them, “It is not those who are well who need a
physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous but
sinners to repentance.”
PRAY that many will hear the Spirit’s call to
repentance this September 11th - - Certainly through 911 Remembrance Prayer
Services but also through secular media’s coverage of these services - -
Petition God to break the spirit of fear that keeps believers silent.
August 6: Luke 21:34-36 “Be on guard, that your hearts may not be
weighted down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that
day come on you suddenly like a trap; for it will come upon all those who dwell
on the face of the earth. But keep on the alert at all times, praying in order
that you may have strength to escape all these things that are about to take
place and to stand before the Son of Man.”
PETITION for hundreds of intercessors who will
“keep on the alert” - Especially during the next 10 days - That thousands of
Pastors and Churches would make plans to participate on September 11th. Ask the
Lord to lead them to the resources of 911remembrance.com
August 7: Psalm 54:8-9 “But as for me, I am like a green olive tree in
the house of God; I trust in the loving-kindness of God forever and ever. I
will give Thee thanks forever, because Thou has done it, and I will wait on Thy
name, for it is good, in the presence of Thy godly ones.”
PRAISE our loving and kind God; give thanks for all that He has done; exalt
His name over our nation ... Give thanks that “On September 11, 2001 God Blessed
America: Many empty seats on the terrorist’s airplanes, far less than the 50,000
feared dead in the Twin Towers, empty offices at the Pentagon disaster site, no
panic in our cities, our national commitment to seek justice rather than
revenge, a renewed call to pray for America...
August 8: Ezekiel 38:23 “And I shall magnify Myself, sanctify Myself, and
make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the
Lord.”
PRAY in agreement with the Lord, that He would
magnify Himself through Christ’s Church in such an unprecedented way that our
nation will know the one true God. Mention people by name; cry out for a city;
hold forth the President and his cabinet; beseech the Lord to reveal Himself to
our enemies that the fear of the Lord would fall upon them and bring them to
eternal life in Christ.
August 9: Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord will all your heart, and do
not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He
will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord
and turn away from evil.”
INTERCEDE for each Pastor and Prayer Leader
planning an Anniversary Remembrance Service: the mind of Christ on all details,
the power of the Spirit in all phases of promotion, and the glory of God
displayed as the Church shows and tells the Gospel to lost neighbors and
friends.
August 10: Psalm 51:10-13 “Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a
steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Thy presence, and do not
take Thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Thy salvation, and
sustain me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Thy
ways, and sinners will be converted to Thee.”
ASK the Holy Spirit to bring a conviction of sin
upon believer and not-yet-believer alike during these 911 Prayer Services – May
genuine revival break-out as our motivation changes from fear of man to
dependent faith upon our God – May transgressors be inexorably be drawn to
Christ through the godly sorrow of church members.
August 11: Psalm 118:13-17 “You pushed me violently so that I was
falling, but the Lord helped me. The Lord is my strength and song, and He has
become my salvation. The sound of joyful shouting and salvation is in the tents
of the righteous; the right hand of the Lord does valiantly. The right hand of
the Lord is exalted; the right hand of the Lord does valiantly. I shall not
die, but live, and tell of the works of the Lord.”
PRAY this scripture over the Church; that in
congregations large and small, rural and city, traditional and contemporary
would be heard the joyful sounds of shouting ... That Christian families would
express their gratitude to the Lord in their homes ... That the Church would
have unexpected opportunities to tell of the works of the Lord (at school &
work; through interviews for TV, radio or local newspapers; with letters to the
Editor; in conversations with neighbors & family members).

Greetings,
This is the Intercessors Generals Official Meeting for all of Virginia to gather
and pray. Those leaders who feel the call to encourage this work and partner
as co-hosts, should send their logo and information, so that the program can
reflect your participation. You commitment to come and bring your van of
committed prayer people will be of great blessing to the Lord, as we gather to
worship Him. We just did this at congress, and the visible unity was powerful.
It is time to gather and pray until we break through. We are a big Target for
the Terrorist, and the Church is arising to the challenge, to speak the name of
Jesus, Rev. Bill Emery

Dear Phil:
I wanted to report to you and to the Evangelical Pastors Prayer Network the
remarkable way in which I believe that God has been answering your prayers for
the Christian Legal Society Christian Legal Aid Program. Attached are answers
to your prayers which I would appreciate your circulating to the Prayer Network
with our thanks. This has been a great encouragement to us. As you can see,
there are still many outstanding needs for which we need continued prayers, but
we are grateful for those which have already been provided.
In Him, John Robb
CHRISTIAN LEGAL SOCIETY (“CLS”)
We are grateful to God and for many of you who prayed in May
for the strengthening and guidance of the 35 evangelistic Christian legal aid (“CLA”)
programs and the hundreds of Christian lawyer volunteers serving in them, for
the Lord to establish 15 similar new Christ sharing ones this year, for
additional prayer warriors, for raising the $250,000 needed for a full time CLS
Director and Associate Director, for God’s anointing and empowering CLS leaders
and receiving support at June meetings of the National Association of
Gospel/Rescue Missions and at meetings in Philadelphia; and that He would break
down the “Jericho” walls of indifference and “busyness” of many other Christian
lawyers; and that He would turn their hearts to the poor.
Some remarkable answers have already occurred:
€ A number of existing CLA programs and many of their volunteers in Tacoma,
Denver, Seattle, New York, Albuquerque, Minneapolis – St. Paul, Tulsa, Wichita
and Cleveland have furnished us with good progress reports and developments and
several have displayed a fresh enthusiasm.
€ Twenty new Gospel/rescue missions signed written expressions of a “serious
interest” and agreed to explore Gospel sharing CLA program startups.
€ The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association showed its interest by featuring
a program about CLA on its national “Decision Today” radio broadcast.
€ A number of Christian organizations, churches, evangelical leaders and 7
Christian lawyers (including the mayor of Philadelphia himself) expressed a
willingness to become the first CLA sponsors and volunteers in that city; and
the West Philadelphia Corps of the Salvation Army agreed to host a new CLA
Gospel oriented program starting in the early fall.
€ On July 11th, the Gospel was presented to the first three clients of a new
CLA program in Detroit. This caused a volunteer Christian lawyer leader to
conclude: “This is the reason I became a lawyer.”
€ A second major foundation invited CLS to submit proposals for substantial
funding.
Thanks be to God!
Please continue your original prayers as God leads you (except
for the June meetings).
Please pray for new matters as well:
€ for favorable response by local CLA programs to certain recent CLS
OPERATION BUILD UP suggestions for improving program quality and developing
additional leaders;
€ for good response to invitations to attend the scheduled CLS Training
Conferences in Savannah this fall.
€ for the 20 Gospel/rescue missions to carry out their decision to seriously
explore a CLA program.
€ for the Salvation Army national leadership to respond favorably to the CLS
“partnership” proposal.

One local school sponsored what they called "Pancakes for Pastors." They gave
the opportunity for students to invite their pastors to have breakfast with them
at school. When the special morning arrived, more than 30 pastors showed up to
eat pancakes with their young parishioners. The excitement of having their
pastor visit them at school was evident on the faces of children as they ate
breakfast with their "hero" they usually saw only at church. Following the
breakfast, students escorted the pastors on a tour of the school. It was a day
the students (and pastors) would never forget.

The Third Annual Parade for Jesus/Spiritual Awakening Convention (sponsored
by various pastors, evangelists, etc. and their congregations in both the
Suburbs and Chicago area) will be held on Saturday - September 14, 2002 at
Washington Park in Chicago (56th King Drive) starting at 12:00 (noon). The
purpose of this event is to glorify our Lord & Saviour – Jesus Christ and to win
souls for Him on this glorious day. We will parade around the park - carrying a
cross, banner, posters, etc. - singing & praising the Lord. It's a time of
Great Rejoicing in our Lord – Jesus Christ. The theme of the Parade/Convention
is "Reaching All for Christ". "Go, ye therefore, and teach all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost
(Matthew 28:19). It's a time of Great Spiritual Revival.
After the Parade, everyone will go into a designated area of the park and
have a Spirit-filled praise & worship service. There also will be various
choirs & guest speakers at this event - including Pastor Phil Miglioratti,
President of NPPN, if his schedule permits. Please plan on attending this
glorious event for the Lord. Please bring your congregation, family, & friends.
We are planning to serve food at the event. Also - we are planning to reach
out to the needy at this event. We will be giving free food (i.e. can goods,),
clothes etc. to the needy. As Jesus reached out to people's physical needs
(when he feed the 5000), we also plan to reach out to people's physical and
spiritual needs on this
day.
Please don't miss this 3rd Annual Great Event. Come and get your share of
blessings from God. Please bring your congregation, family & friends. God
promises, God delivers. ' With God all things are possible'. Everyone is
welcome. For more information, please call Apostle E. Dada at (630) 372-5845.
Thanks and God bless.
