€Pray USA! - DAY ONE
>From: FREEDOM918@aol.com
>Date: Wed, Feb 17, 1999, 10:01 AM
I started my forty day fast today using "40 Days to Freedom" in sync with and
in prayerful awareness of the national fast. My fast is not against food, as
I do not believe that God desires we do anything unhealthful against ourselves
body, mind, or spirit. For me, as an athlete, 40 days without food would be
unhealthful so I chose another target for my fast. The fast of "40 Days to
Freedom" can include either purging a bad habit or instilling a good habit or
for a God-given purpose. I would like your readers to consider that anyone,
who after a 40 day food-fast is still in habitual sin, has achieved little or
nothing and still cannot see the truth. However, if his sin is his fast; and
he uses God strength to defeat it (method of "40 Days to Freedom"), then he
has won true freedom and caused great rejoicing in heaven.
In love and truth, Tom Lomas - http://www.40days2freedom.org

€UPDATE ON PASTOR ARAUZ´S WIFE
>From: Eddie Smith <us_prayertrack@compuserve.com>
>Date: Thu, Feb 18, 1999, 3:36 PM
Once again we want to thank you all for your prayers.
God is great and He is working in her life healing her.
I just got off the phone with Pastor Arauz´s secretary, I had mentioned
before that she was off the respirator was erroneous information the last
time. Yesterday the doctor´s performed a Tracheotomy (traquetomia) and
they took her off the respirator, because she could no longer be on it.
She seems to be breathing much better, today around noon they were going
to get her out of Intensive care and are going to send her to a private
room. The doctor says that in 3 or 4 days she would be sent home. We
urge you to continue to pray that God not only heal her from her
physical wounds but also from the scars that this incident may leave on
her emotionally as well as her family and friends.
Thank you, Iglesia Galilea, Javier

>I am writing ask you to join us in prayer for the great city of Los
>Angeles during the third week of February. Famed Argentine evangelist,
>Carlos Annacondia will be holding a campaign here from February 18

>Anniversary of Billy Graham's historic crusade with a massive Harvest of souls.

>Carlos is world renowned for miracles, healings, deliverance and an

>unprecedented move of God that has swept Latin America and has been
>sustained for more than fifteen years! He is considered a father of the
>revival that has also touched Pensacola and Toronto. Many leaders have
>testified that his campaigns have ignited revival in their cities. We
>are desperate for revival here. Greater Los Angeles has been the

>Pray with us for a mighty breakthrough in the spiritual atmosphere over

>This is a critical time for the destiny of Los Angeles.

€A REPORT FOR THOSE WHO INTERCEDED

CALIFORNIA STATE SOLEMN ASSEMBLY
Submitted by S. Bagley on behalf of the facilitation team.
Those serving in facilitation of the California State Solemn Assembly held in
the capitol city of Sacramento submit this testimony. We are humbled to be
called by His Name. Our sin was laid bare before God, mankind, the angels,
and ourselves. The heavens are shaking around us as we acknowledge only God,
His love, mercy, and grace.
Wed. Feb 3, a Native American Indian led a gathering in opening prayer.
The rich Christian history of the Church in California was shared. The order of
the solemn assembly given. A historic candle from the original mission San
Antonio in California was lit depicting the light of the gospel in the state.
This preceded praise, worship and personal preparation before God for the
assembly.
Thurs. Feb 4, the actual Solemn Assembly BEGAN with the blowing of the
shophar. For 10 hours, pastors led in confession and repentance of 10
systemic sins (sins that effect the whole body) of the church. Those
purposely and preparedly addressed were the sins of Unforgiveness, Spiritual
Pride, Judgementalism, Racism, Controlling Spirit, Forsaking Our First Love,
Idolatry, Covenant Breaking, Greed and Pornography. The assembly, agreed
together in prayer, searched themselves, cried before God and in all truth,
were a weary and broken people at the end of that time. It was apparent, we
must not only confess but truly turn away from these behaviors that grieve our
Father. In the following 2 hours, by faith, we affirmed God had heard the
prayers. The seriousness of the previous hours culminated in joyous worship
recognizing His mercy and love for us. The assembly ENDED with the blowing of
the shophar.
Friday, Feb 5, those able to stay, went to the State Capitol Building. God had
graciously allowed permits for prayer and praises on the steps, on the grounds
and in the actual assembly itself. Someone adopted every state legislator at
the capitol to be prayed for with blessing prayer. Prayers of blessing for
our government leaders were led from the assembly podium. God Bless America
and Amazing Grace were sung; all of this recorded for the archives of history.
Prayers of thanksgiving and then communion took place on the grounds around
the bronze map of California depicting the original missions and original
preaching of the gospel.
We ask you to pray for us, the Church in California, as we endeavor to
continually "walk what we talk" in humility, grace, and with deeds of charity
reflecting the love of Christ in our State.

TAKING AIM AT THE TARGET
As Jesus was moved with compassion. A trait that was evident in His
ministry that brought many to an intimate, saving knowledge of God.
AGAPE Ministries is built on this very foundation. A compassion for lost souls,
that brought many like-minded believers to unleash God's love through
the Word, witness and healing.
Chicago is our target. More specifically, the Devon area that's populated
with not only Asian Indians but various other cultures.
While equipped with skills like languages and cultural outlines, the Agape team
speaks one language to all cultures. The message of Jesus Christ and the healing
He can not only bring to souls but to our physical body.
Already Jesus has been doing great and mighty things healing of cancer,
financial provision, healing of wombs. Many of whom have been blessed after having
fruitlessly searched for answers in their own cultures, faiths and religions.
ZERO-IN-FOR IMPACT
We are taking Door-to-Door evangelism to the next level. Active witnessing thru
literature, film and a compassionate understanding of who they are and how
their problems can be addressed by focusing on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We distribute the amazing 'Jesus' film in our native languages. A powerful tool
that has wrought many a change in millions of lives. Isaiah 55:11 says" So shall
my Word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void,
but shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in that thing." (KJV)

€SAN FRANCISCO STRONGHOLDS
>From: "Symons" <symons@bayview.net>
>Date: Thu, Feb 11, 1999, 10:26 PM
I received some information from a spiritual mapper in Oakland that there
is an Advanced Shamanism and Healing Conference (with workshops etc) being
held in San Francisco from February 7 - 19th. It is a two-week intensive
taught by Michael Harner, apparently a "big-name" in this field, and is
completely sold out.
This conference is coming right at the heels of the "Digging the Wells of
Revival" which was held February 5-6th at Glad Tidings Church.
Please mobilize your prayer networks to pray. Prayer points:
*Exodus 23 : 27 For the Lord to make our enemies turn their backs and
run, and to send terror / confusion into their camp.
* Colossians 2: 15 Proclaim the victory of the cross and the Blood of Jesus
of Jesus Christ over the powers of Shamanism. Ask the Lord to break the
power of Shamanism in this conference in Jesus' name.
* In the Name of Jesus extend forgiveness to those who are worshiping pagan
deities; or if you are so led (if you can more closely identify with those
who practice this) - - - to ask forgiveness on behalf of those in this
conference for the practice of Shamanism on our land. 1 John 1:9
*Pray for the salvation of those who are caught in Shamanism : that the
blinders would be removed from their minds and hearts. 2 Cor 4 : 3-4

€BEFORE EMBARKING ON THE TASK OF WORLD EVANGELIZATION
>From: lskwinusa@juno.com
>Date: Thu, Feb 4, 1999, 1:54 PM
Adapted from "Charles Finney on Spiritual Power - A 30-Day Devotional Treasury"
A challenge for the day from my heart to yours - from your brother in Christ,
Larry Kendrick
"I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city
until you have been clothed with power from on high." Luke 24:49
The disciples had been converted to Christ, and their faith confirmed by
His resurrection. But one's conversion should not be confused with a
consecration to the great work of the world's conversion. In conversion
the soul deals directly and personally with Christ. The soul yields its
self-righteousness, unbelief and selfishness and accepts, trusts, and
supremely loves Christ. All this the disciples had done. But they had
received no definite commission, and no particular empowerment.
When Christ dispelled their bewilderment resulting from His crucifixion
and confirmed their faith by repeated discussions with them, He gave them
their great commission to win all nations to Himself. But He admonished
them to wait in Jerusalem until they were endued with power from on high.
They understood and accepted their commission and the necessity of the
spiritual power that Christ had promised. Continuing day after day in
prayer, they came to appreciate the difficulties that would beset them
and to feel more and more their inadequacy to the task.
They consecrated themselves, with all they had, to the conversion of the
world as their life work. They renounced utterly the idea of living to
themselves in any form, devoting themselves with all their powers to the
work set before them. This self-renunciation, this dying to all the
world could offer, preceded their intelligent seeking of the promised
empowerment. They continued in prayer for the baptism of the Spirit,
which included all that was essential to their success. How did they
wait? Not in listlessness and inactivity; not in making preparations by
study; not by going about their business and offering an occasional
prayer; but they continued in prayer until the answer came. They prayed
in faith. They held on, with the firmest expectation, until the power
came.
The apostles and brethren (ordinary laymen) received a powerful baptism
of the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost. This baptism imparted a
great diversity of gifts for the accomplishment of their work. It
manifested itself in many ways, including: The power of a holy life.
They power of a self-sacrificing life. The power of a cross-bearing
life. The power of great meekness. The power of loving enthusiasm in
proclaiming the gospel. The power of teaching. The power of a loving
and living faith. The power of moral courage to proclaim the gospel and
do the work of Christ, whatever the cost.
In their circumstances all these endowments were essential to their
success; but neither separately nor all together did they constitute
that power from on high that Christ promised, and that they manifestly
received. That which they received as the supreme, crowning, and
all-important means of success was the power to prevail with both God and
man, the power to fasten saving impressions upon the minds of men.
Christ had commissioned the church to convert the world to Him. All that
I have named above were only means, which could never secure the end
unless they were vitalized and made effectual by the power of God. The
apostles understood this; and laying themselves and their all upon the
altar, they besieged the throne of grace in the spirit of entire
consecration to their work.
They did, in fact, receive the gifts mentioned above; but supremely and
principally this power to savingly impress men. It was manifested
immediately as they began to address the multitude, and three thousand
were converted. God was speaking in and through them. It was a power
from on high to savingly impress others.
"Lord Jesus, the disciples understood the meaning of Your divine promise
of the Spirit. Open my eyes to understand it today. I desire the same
baptism they received on the day of Pentecost, and nothing less, because
of Your Word. Father, I am willing to wait upon You for the fullness of
the Holy Spirit. Prepare my heart as You did Your first disciples. My
faith is fixed on You. Amen."
