"TURN AMERICA SUNDAY' AUGUST 3RD IN WASHINGTON DC - Thousands of Americans
are invited to rally this Sunday on the National Mall of our Nation's
Capital to pray for our leaders and our country.  Members of Congress are
confirmed to be there and President Bush has been invited as well.  Michael
W. Smith and Salvador will lead worship for the Turn America Pray the Way
Rally.  The rally is hosted by the Assemblies of God USA. Prayer events and
celebrations begin at 12:30 eastern while the rally begins at 4pm.  For more

URGENT PRAYER REQUESTED FOR PRESIDENT'S JUDICIAL NOMINEES; PRYOR NOMINATION
TO COME TO SENATE FOR VOTE TODAY - (Excerpted from Concerned Women for
America 7/28/03) The confirmation of Judicial Nominee, Bill Pryor, will come
to the Senate floor for a vote this Wednesday, July 30. Like all other
judicial nominees appointed by President Bush, Pryor, Alabama's state
Attorney General, faced heavy opposition in the Senate Judiciary Committee
before being approved.  Most of this negative opposition resulted from
Pryor's strong statement against the Roe v. Wade decision, calling it ''the
worst abomination in the history of constitutional law''.

Bill Pryor continues to stand by this statement today. Unfortunately,
liberal Senators seem to view a nominee's position on Roe v. Wade as the
litmus test for determining an excellent federal judge rather than a
nominee's track record of dispensing sound judgement according to the law of
the land.

As it stands now, Pryor is facing a filibuster just like his fellow nominees
Miguel Estrada, Carolyn Kuhl, and Pricilla Owen. Recent Supreme Court cases
have shown us all too clearly that the discernment of our judges can
drastically effect our nation and our lives. It is crucial that the Senate
confirm the nominations of such worthy appointees as Pryor, Estrada, Kuhl,
and Owen.


UNITE WITH US IN AUGUST 1 FIRST FRIDAY PRAYER AND FASTING FOR -- U.S.
SUPREME COURT At least two vacancies were expected and imminent as this
newsletter went to press. Pro-abortion forces have announced that they will
oppose any pro-life judge President Bush might nominate. Some of the most
intense confirmation battles ever are expected this summer. Intercede that
the Lord sustain qualified appointed candidates and, in His mercy, grant us
Supreme Court justices who will uphold biblical and constitutional
principles, the sanctity of human life, traditional marriage and religious
freedom. (Ps 94:20, 119:89; Is 28:18) FOREIGN POLICY Intercede that the Lord
thwart spirits of anti-Christ (1 Jn 2:18) and grant the Bush Administration
"wisdom from above" (James 3:13-18) concerning implementation of the "Road
Map" in Israel, and for foreign policy decisions in Iraq, Iran, Syria, Saudi
Arabia, North Korea, China, Russia and the embroiled nations of Africa.
Intercede that the Lord "sh
 ow mercy" and hold President Bush and the U.S. in a biblical posture toward
the Jewish people (Rom 11:18) and the "final status" of Jerusalem. (Zech 12)
SUMMER MISSIONS "This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the
world.and then the end shall come."  ( Mt 24:14)  Thousands of believers,
young and old are involved in short-term summer missions around the world.
Pray that all on mission teams from your area be provided for, anointed,
granted grace for spiritual sensitivity and protected. Pray that churches
and pastors in your area become ever more mission-minded.  "NEIGHBORING"
"You shall love your neighbor as yourself." (Mk 12:31) Neighboring used to
be part of the U.S. culture. Now neighbors often live in isolation and
alienation.  Pray that the Lord fill your heart with His love for your
neighbors - to show you times to visit, acts of kindness and creative ways
of sharing Christ's love.  Pray that they come to know Christ, or be
deepened and guided in their faith.
