REPORT ON PASTORS/ CHURCH LEADERS PRAYER MEETING HELD ON THURSDAY 31ST AUGUST 2003 AT MUMIAS TOWN [LUMINO CEF.CHURCH]
This meeting was organized by CHN-Kenya, the Western Kenya Branch and co-ordinated by Rev. James Kwena Ayiro of the Light of the Holy Ghost Miracle Ministry and officially opened by Rev. James Onyango Owuor CHN-Kenya director.
1. PRAISES: -The meeting started at 9:30 Am with praises and Worship songs led by Cyprine; Rev. Onyango’s wife and Canny Atieno of H.G.M.M.
2. ENCOURAGEMENT: Rev. Onyango gave a word of encouragement from the book of 2nd Chronicles 7:14 and asked all the participants to observe this scripture and take the mean time steps towards repentance which includes conditions for effective prayers which God can answer, as our God is ready to forgive and to heal all our sickness, wounds, and also to pour His blessings upon us.
Testimonies and Prayer requests from Participants:
v Pastor William Ambunya Moyi [Ebusikari Bible Fellowship Center] Box 56 Butere. ~I was very much blessed with the teachings on prayers during the Ettenje seminar. God is continuing to increase intercessors in our group. It is now composed of 10 people; four women and six men. We are seeing God’s hand and blessings in this group. ~ Pray that God provide Bibles and study manual Rent for our PowerHouse. Pray for two ladies who are suffering from breast cancer and HIV/AIDS.
v Jactone Omwolo [Butere Town Center prayer group under Calvary Evangelistic Fellowship] Box 47 Butere. ~ God is good, many souls are now attending our mid week Bible study which includes prayer meeting on Wednesdays. We are able to visit nearby villages and pray for the sick and other needs. We are seeing people healed, marriage restored and Reconciliation’s in many homes. Praise be to God. ~ Pray God to provide bicycles for intercessors to enable them reach homes of the needy. We also need study materials especially the
Kiswahili Prayer Manual and God to open ways of Getting Bibles.
v Pastor George Owinyi [Mwitoti Prayer fellowship Church] ~ I am strengthen in the word, God is Keeping me, Providing for my daily needs. I am able to pray for the sick and I see the positive results. Our prayer group is growing both spiritually and in numbers.
~ Pray God to open a door for me to attend Pastoral training. Also to guide me to be a prayer worrior.
v Pastor Philip Amukoa [Shianda Calvary Fellowship] ~ I was very much blessed with the teachings during your Ettenje visit. Thank you Pastor for the booklet. It has blessed me very much I am now able to pray for others without fear and to pray for my family. ~ Pray for our Fellowship to grow. Please mind also to be sending us CHN monthly newsletters and the CHN prayer manual to guide us.
v Pastor Nicholas Wanyandi Tabayi [Mumias Town Fellowship] ~ Since you left us in May God has been faithful. He has provided a structure for worship and prayers. He has also provided finance for rental though it is not sufficient, many souls are accepting Christ and abandoning to be Muslim and Catholics. ~ Pray that the Holy Spirit continue to flow in us, God to meet our spiritual needs e.g. Bibles, Prayer manuals and if possible to start a children Center to cater for orphans and children from the poor families.
v Pastor Ngala Akutia [ Mt. Elgon Fellowship of Christ]
~ Since we started meeting together, God has become real to me. I have experienced my prayers being answered. I can now see the love of God and my Lord is blessing my congregation in many areas e.g. Provision for school fees, reconciliation In families e.t.c ~ Pray God to open doors for further training and seminars. Pray for my ailing mother and my drunkard younger brother for salvation.
v Ev. David Munyendo [Calvary Mwitoti] ~ Thank God for His protection and guidance. ~ God to reveal himself to me and show, teach me His ways and make me a prayer worrior.
v Pastor Stausulus Wambutsu [Isabatia Fellowship –Butere] ~ God blessed us. The flood is finished, the flood victims have returned to their homes. The harvest is fine and we are rejoicing after the terrible floods. Praise be to God. ~ Pray for our souls to remember to thank God in Every situation. God to provide us with Bibles, songbooks and other reading materials.
v Pastor Manasses Wanzetse Yeka Box 192 Mumias. ~ I have now started going deep in prayers after the workshop on prayers you conducted here last time. Please continue to give us more insight on prayers. ~ Pray that doors to be opened for me to attend pastoral and prayer training, Please pastor arrange to send me CHN, WORLD HARVEST PRAYER MANUAL.
v Rev. James Onyango Owuor ~ Praise God for enabling my wife and myself to attend this wonderful meetings, also for Journey mercies and financial provision. Praise Him as he continues to guide us in this wonderful and important ministry of Intercession. ~ Pray God to meet my needs to enable me fulfill his Great commission through CHN-Kenya. Continue to pray for CHN-Kenya as we plan to open more branches in Kenya in the near future as soon as we get the registration from A.G chambers [as the 120 days given awaiting has elapsed], pray for pastors monthly meetings, CHN international director Rev. Yovino as she prepares to write the final paper for PHD, for the proposed 2nd year CHN-Kenya anniversary to be held in November 2003, also for the proposed evangelistic /Prayer Crusade [3dys] to be held in Mumias town January 2004 God to provide finances.
v Canny Atieno; Women leader [ T.L.H.G.M.C ] ~ Our Women ministry is going on well, we do conduct prayers to needy women and their families. We also practice poverty eradication programs through merry go round to help the mothers supplement their incomes. ~ pray God to give us accurate direction as we serve Him and training in women ministry.
v Beatrice Mukoya Muchango [Mumias Town women Fellowship] ~ God is working in our Fellowship, women are receiving God’s anointing, needs are being prayed for. Transformation among women is being witnessed. Our fellowship meets for prayer house to house every Saturday afternoon. ~ Pray for our fellowship to be firm, for Bibles, orphans and for our Husbands who are involved in immmorality to be saved.
v Alice Liboyi Bwibo [Mumias] ~ Pray for the salvation of my house hold [husband & children].
v Cyprine Achien’g [CHN-Kenya Treasurer] ~ Pray for CHN-Kenya workers and equipment. ~ pray for our daughter mercy for her end year examination and for our George to secure a chance at the Kenya polytechnic. Also for both our parents who are ageing and are developing complications in their health.
v Ben Aliaro [Calvary Temple Ekero] ~ Pray for the orphans schools run by our church for God to provide funds and learning materials. Also for the well being of Children at Mumias Junior academy. ~ Salvation of souls especially the Muslims and traditional churches around Mumias Town.
v Rev. James Kwena Airo [The Light of Holy Ghost Miracle ministry] ~ God is moving Tremendously in our ministry. We are able to form more fellowships working under CHN-Kenya. Also expanding to the nearby districts of Bungoma, and Busia. Soon we may enter Uganda with the Gospel. Thank you Pastor for the support in Prayers and other materials. ~ pray for our Evangelists to have Bicycles, Bibles and tracks to enable them take the Gospel easily. About four bicycles are needed @ Kshs. 2300 x 4 =9200/=. Pray also God to help us start a Bible training Center to cater for Pastors / Church leaders. he nursery and primary school on site to get donors and supporters for the orphans and children in need. In addition, the rehabilitation and medical care centers for our youth and HIV/AIDS victims.
v Boaz Opiyo [Miracle Center Imanga] ~ God has helped us to start a prayer fellowship under CHN-Kenya despite tough opposition. I have seen also my Lord taking me through a land case. Praise Be unto God. ~ Pray for peace and stability, prayer resource materials including Bible and manual and direction by God for our prayer fellowship.
v Rev. Pascal Ngarinya [Ettenje –Efeso Gospel Church] ~ Pray that God brings in more workers of the Gospel. God to provide Evangelism facilities including Posters, Tracks and free Bible for distribution. Also the prayer manual to guide us. Pray also for the HIV/AIDS victims.
v Pastor Kennedy [Over comers Faith] ~ Thank you for coming. God has been rewarding to me. The proclamation of the Gospel is growing. Many people are coming to Christ. We have over 30 ready for baptism. Let us all exalt our king. ~ Pray for financial breakthrough, evangelism materials e.g. tracks, booklets and Bibles.
v Juliana Amukowa [Sabatia women fellowship] ~ Pray for my healing from regular long periods and stomachaches.
v Ev. John Mulama ~ Pray God to provide finances for my children schooling and putting a house.
The meeting ended at 5:00 p.m. and pastor Onyango prayed for all participants and accepted an invitation to go back and officiate the proposed weddings at Mwitoti. He also agreed to divide the Pastors prayer fellowships in two zones; Butere and Mumias zones each led by Boaz Opiyo and James Kwena respectively. He promised to approach our partners for provision of literatures and if possible Bibles.
